ROBLOX Cards have gone international! We are pleased to announce that ROBLOX Cards are now available in the UK, Ireland, and additional Canadian locations. In the UK the cards are available at Sainsbury’s. In Ireland, they are available at Gamestop. In Canada, ROBLOX Cards are now available at Walmart in addition to Best Buy, Toys R Us, and 7-Eleven. For those of you not familiar with prepaid ROBLOX Cards – here’s how they work:

You purchase a ROBLOX Card at Sainsbury’s, Gamestop, or one of our other retail partners. Once you have your card, you login to ROBLOX and go to www.roblox.com/gamecard. Scratch off the section on the back of the card that hides the secret code needed to activate your card. The code on the back of the card can only be used once so be sure not to purchase a card if the back is already scratched off. Enter the code and click redeem. BAM! You’re ready to enjoy your Robux or Builder’s Club.

Personal Build Servers Running Hot

The overwhelming success of personal build servers is evident – more than 200 of them are running on ROBLOX as I write this.

ROBLOXians in these servers are building so much stuff it is pushing the limits of ROBLOX to the max and beyond.

The ROBLOX team has identified an issue that will prevent personal servers with a ton of blocks from saving – things start to get shaky around 20,000-25,000 parts. Places above this size may not save correctly. You may lose work. As such Personal Servers should be considered a Beta feature at this point. We’re going to leave them on for users to experiment with.

For techies, the problem we are encountering seems to be related to the fact that the ROBLOX server is a 32 bit process. This means it can address 4 GB of RAM (2^32 bytes). Depending on the OS, half of that is usually reserved for system allocations, leaving 2 GB for user memory. We’re finding that personal servers fit within this memory envelop of 2 GB with up to 36,000 parts. However, the additional memory required to persist these places to disk fails to allocate and the save operation does not complete. There are several things we can work on to fix this issue – most of which will make ROBLOX run faster in general and are a huge win for our players. We will start attacking these next week.

Our ultimate vision has always been having 100 players building in a level that supports millions of parts. We will get there. It’s going to be a wild ride.

The Necrosapien Staff

– Said to be wielded by only the most powerful necromancers on Robloxia, The Necrosapien Staff summons unholy zombies. The summoned zombies act as a shield to the wielder of the staff and attack viciously anyone and everyone that get in their way, carefully returning to their master afterwards.

Why do you play ROBLOX?

Because of the variety of places! On ROBLOX, there are places for everyone. It’s also fun to play around with the real-life physics, which makes ROBLOX so great! You can make friends anywhere, from the games, to the forums.

What is your favorite thing on ROBLOX?

Definitely the fact that you can share your creations with the world; be it places, models, clothes, etc. Sure, there are some incredibly awesome places on ROBLOX, but have you ever taken your time to look at the detail that goes into the clothes that some of the graphic designers have made? That’s what I like about ROBLOX: There is a wide variety of people, from scripters to graphic designers. It’s almost impossible not to make friends!

What do you want your fellow ROBLOXians to know about you?

I LOVE computers! When my first birthday came, what did my parents get me? Yes, you guessed it, a computer! I was one of those babies, where you could hit your rattle on the keyboard, and make things happen!

I am a graphic designer. (Not professional, though.) I taught myself Photoshop. I started out by learning MS Paint, then Paint.Net, until I understood the “ultimate” program, Photoshop. Most people say that I am the “King of ROBLOX Ads”! (I don’t believe that! There are TONS of radical ad makers out there.) If you don’t know the first thing about graphic design, I encourage you to learn more about it, and to try your hand at it in MS Paint, and possibly Paint.NET. Set your goals, and you will reach them!

Do you have any advice for noobs?

Don’t walk off the end of the baseplate! There’s no telling where it leads. If you do, don’t worry, you will respawn back to the starting point. If something should go wrong, just blame John!

Land Grab!

ROBLOX has released version 1.0 of our hotly anticipated terrain feature! Since the time it was first announced at the ROBLOX RALLY on August 1st, the ROBLOX team has been focused on driving terrain across the finish line. There are a ton more features we want to add, and you guys will see terrain improvements rolling out over the next several releases. Enough talk. What’s in version 1.0?
What is Terrain?
ROBLOX terrain is a super scalable voxel-based grid. Currently, it can be up to 2048 x 512 x 2048 studs large, containing up to 16 million 4×4x4 terrain cells. Anything built using terrain cells is extremely high-performance. You can uses all 16 million cells to build with no graphics slow down. Even better, terrain integrates seamlessly with the normal ROBLOX building parts.
Play With Terrain Right Now

To show off some of the new gameplay possibilities afforded by terrain, I’ve uploaded a simple demonstration level. All players start with overpowered weapons that cut through terrain like a hot knife through butter. At the same time, floating bots are launching rockets at the players. The level is uncopylocked – grab a copy and check out the scripts!
Make Your Own Terrain


You can very easily get started building your own terrains in ROBLOX Studio. We’ve added a slew of tools to help you create and sculpt your own terrains (warning: this is very fun). The first tool you’ll want to try is the Terrain Generator. It’s got some sliders that you can play with to generate different types of terrains. Here’s one that I made in 30 seconds:
All the other new tools help you modify an existing terrain that you have generated. The best way to learn what they do is by messing around with them. ROBLOX team members Gemlocker and bjdeck gave a presentation at the ROBLOX RALLY that showed off some of these tools.
Quick side note:
ROBLOX Studio pros know that there’s a lot of ways to move parts around with ROBLOX Studio. ROBLOX recommends that you use these tools for manipulating parts that you want to connect with terrain. For example, if you are inserting a large building, use the arrow tool shown above to weld this object to the terrain. If you use the old arrow cursor tool, the building will not create welds with terrain. This will cause two bad things to happen: 1) the building could be moved if something heavy hits it in-game and 2) your game may run slowly because you have a large object making many many surface contacts with the terrain. We will be cleaning up ROBLOX Studio and making this less confusing in the near future.
Scripters Paradise

Guess what scripters? All of the new terrain tools we have provided in ROBLOX Studio are actually plugins scripted in Lua – 100% modifiable by you! Make your own terrain generators! Make your own tools! Show off your 1337 creations in the scripters forum!
What’s Next for Terrain
Currently the ROBLOX terrain object only supports two types of materials: grass and sand. There will be many more coming in future releases. We will also continues to improve the quality of terrain plugins provided in ROBLOX Studio. Plus a bunch of other stuff that’s still under wraps!

Halloween is one of ROBLOX’s favorite holidays of the year.  To celebrate – we present the 13 days of Halloween!  Everyday from October 1st to the 13th there will be a new Halloween gift item for sale in the ROBLOX Catalog.  The Halloween gift items contain a surprise – some are tricks and others are treats.  Can you figure out which gift contains which?

Under Ground War

The under ground war is fun hard and action packed.

The oblect of the game is to get points by captureing there flag killing the other team or digging in the ground.

(Swuvle)-is a sword or shuvel and you use it to dig in the ground or fight with against the other team.

(Sniper)-is a gun that you use to shoot with for long distance.

(Sniper+)-is a the upgraded sniper so you damage him more or you kill him for a farther diatance.

(Swuvle+)-is the upgraded swuvle just for killing it will give more damage to the enemy.

(Digging+)-is for digging 40% quicker than and other shuvle.

(50 points badge)-if you have 50 points buy that badge you will lose 50 points so use itn wisley.

(100 point badge)-this badge cost one hundred points and its harder to get.

(200 point badge)-this one as you know cost 200 points and its even harded to get spendm wisley.

(400 point badge)-last but not least is the 400 point badge its extermly hard to get.

Now I rated this game a 10/10 its so much fun.

Two player war tycoon

The game is exciting to play you pick a tycoon and you can be a builder or a my favorite a fighter.

The object of the game is to kill people to get kos and get new swords.

Some swords are Dual Katana which are 40ko's Dual Blades which are 20ko's ice club is 8 ko's or if you build your tycoon it only 5ko's.

fighter pays in ko's and and the builder gets paid in points and can still get upgrades to protect them selfs.

You start out with a regular lame sword and when you get more ko's you get a new sword.

Builder gets paid an points starts out with earning one points every three seconds.

Then you get a one point upgrade whitch starts out with 15 points then to 40 and so on.

The thing I love the most about this game is the fighting and the action.

There is admin whitch gives you a sword for free or for  less price.

I rate this a 9/10 becuase if you have no admin its no fair for the people who cant get admin.

Roblox Rush is a game created by Kachance. In this game you race against your opponents and win. WARNING! YOU CAN DIE! To play simply find the starting line and wait til there are two people in the server or more. To get an easy head start take of your hats to do this simply press the +/- key and then jump on somebody's head. There are some power ups to help you in a game they are all good to you but some can be used against you from a different user that is in the race. Every race you win you get $100. To win a race just come in 1st don't die and cross the finish line (Don't jump over the finish line). There are various maps to this game most of the maps are hard or easy. I give this a 10/10 Kachance met all my expectations in a game. Good scripting good maps and a good type of game so enjoy.

1. Invisible head- makes your head invisible price is $25.

3. 200 max health- makes your health go up to 200 price is $50.

Chair racing is a fun and exciting game and you will have comptiotion.

When you play you start an a lobby and you get 30 seconds to get cool stuff like toy swords, fake mustaches, a taco, and many more.

My personal favorite is the pencil it's so cool how you draw with it.

When you start to race you will see at the bottom of your screen says chiar tool click on that then click on the ground around you.

Then walla a chair is there to race with.

Theres easy maps theres hard maps the and even medium maps witch are not easy but not hard.

The object of the game is to race with out falling off the map or fliping over because that loses you time and you only have a minute to finish the race.

One of the maps are bob cow race witch is a medium mapits kinda hard.

When the cow goes mooo is my personal favorite becuase its easy and its fun to go down that huge hill. 

You won't  know how great it is untill you play this game.

I rated this game a 8/10 because its very laggy for me but some other people its not.

War of robloxia 5

This is call of robloxia fun game you will love it.

Theres many maps to fight at its manul pick not atomatic.

You get to custmize a class and you have many guns to choose from.
The PSHH is the best gun to choose from  and the secondary should be the firece magma with moltov as your gun.
Some other guns are mp40,Spring Field Sniper,and Bar Gun.
The best map Is the one with many buildings and you won't know what it is untill you play the game.

I rate this a 9/10 becasue its good its fun but can be laggy at times.
